Japanese rock band performs Kamikazee’s ‘Narda’

MANILA, Philippines – A Japanese rock group has performed its own rendition of local band Kamikazee’s “Narda,” a song that is said to be about the Filipino heroine Darna. Uchusentai NOIZ did a faster, more upbeat version of “Narda” in a music video uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday. The video also mentioned that the band will perform in Davao from September 7 to 9, and at Function Room 4 and 5 of SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City from September 15 to 16.

Charice to sing at 9/11 tribute game to be held in Florida, USA

Charice is expected to perform during a football game that will mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. In her official Twitter account, Charice confirmed that she will be part of the 9/11 tribute game that will be held in Jacksonville, Florida. According to charicemania.com, the fansite maintained by Charice's fans, the Filipina singer will sing the "Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" for a match between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Solenn Heusaff releases debut album

This French-Filipina beauty goes with many tags-- make-up artist, TV host, reality show contestant, magazine cover girl, fashion designer, model, painter, yoga enthusiast and actress. No wonder she has been tagged as one of this generation’s “multi-slashie”. Now another one will added as Solenn Heussaff puts recording artist on her growing list as she releases her debut album simply entitled “Solenn.”

The album represents the essence of Solenn---fun, sassy and sexy. It opens with the carrier single “Fire”, a remake of the Bruce Springsteen original . Solenn makes it hotter with its danceable beat coupled with her seductive voice. She also takes on 90s hits like Sheryl Crow’s “All I Wanna Do” and “Torn” and also enjoy her versions of “Selfish” (The Other Two), “Kiss” (Prince) and “It’s Our First Time” (Bruno Mars).

Solenn likewise collaborated with ex-Rivermaya frontman Rico Blanco for “Chemistry”, a song they co-wrote. Another original track to watch out is “Ladies Night” which features Viktoria Vixen.

She could not hide her excitement with her foray into the music scene. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to take time to record her songs for the album.

“I was thrilled to have had a chance to be finally share one of my passions that is singing. It feels good when I perform songs at ‘Party Pilipinas’ but it feels better to sing your own songs,” Solenn said.

Her knack for performing will be proven further as she holds her first ever concert “Solenn On Stage” on August 19 and 26, 8pm at Teatrino, Promenade Mall Greenhills. Indeed, Solenn will show you her brand of breath-taking performances in this 2 night show. Joining her are special guests Ogie Alcasid , Geoff Taylor and her brother Erwan Heussaff.

‘I’ll be singing songs from my debut album, plus new production numbers as well, it will be a blast”, says Solenn.
