Japanese rock band performs Kamikazee’s ‘Narda’

MANILA, Philippines – A Japanese rock group has performed its own rendition of local band Kamikazee’s “Narda,” a song that is said to be about the Filipino heroine Darna. Uchusentai NOIZ did a faster, more upbeat version of “Narda” in a music video uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday. The video also mentioned that the band will perform in Davao from September 7 to 9, and at Function Room 4 and 5 of SMX Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City from September 15 to 16.

Charice to sing at 9/11 tribute game to be held in Florida, USA

Charice is expected to perform during a football game that will mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. In her official Twitter account, Charice confirmed that she will be part of the 9/11 tribute game that will be held in Jacksonville, Florida. According to charicemania.com, the fansite maintained by Charice's fans, the Filipina singer will sing the "Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" for a match between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Lalaine Vergara-Paras is an American actress, singer-songwriter and spokesperson.

She is perhaps best known for her role as Miranda Sanchez in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire, which aired from 2001 to 2004. She has been pursuing a music career since 2009. She was a member of the band Vanity Theft from 2010 to 2011.

Lalaine was born in Burbank, California to Filipino parents; her mother, Lilia Paras, is originally from Batangas, and her father from Pampanga. She has three older siblings; Marian, Francisco and Cristina. She spent most of her early years in Burbank CA before she relocated to attend the San Francisco School of the Arts where she was a member of a band.

In 2004, Lalaine went to Philippines and made guest appearances on the GMA Network including the SOP Gigsters. She began hosting her own Filipino travel show Flipside, where she travels around the islands. She also promoted GMA Pinoy TV in San Francisco, California in 2005. She visited the Philippines because she wants to know more about her Filipino side.

Lalaine's voice has been used for many movies, including Inspector Gadget and Lolita. She also played orphan "Kate" in the Wonderful World of Disney ABC-TV version of the movie Annie. She starred alongside AJ Trauth in the Disney Channel movie You Wish! as "Abby." Lalaine portrayed "Chloe," a young Slayer-In-Training who commits suicide, on the TV-Series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When the First Evil assumes her form, Lalaine plays the malevolent force.
