According to an interview uploaded on YouTube by FinalFantasyDotNet on Sept. 15, Charice is grateful for the opportunity to sing "New World," which she describes as having "a very emotional, heartbreaking story."
"I just want to thank everybody for giving me a chance to be part of it. It's such a beautiful atmosphere, beautiful," the 19-year-old singer said.
More, she shared, "When I recorded the song, I was like, ‘This is a great song.’ It's like, you can really relate to it. Not only me, but all the people."
Charice's "New World" will be available on the Western version of "Final Fantasy XIII-2," while Japanese singer Mai Fukui performs "Yakusoku no Basho" for the Japanese version of the game, reports said.
"New World" is one of the songs from Charice's second international album, "Infinity," which will be released in Japan on Oct. 5.
Aside from performing “New World,” Charice also sang the official theme song of the recently launched Japanese mystery crime soap titled “Bull Doctor.” The international singing sensation was chosen to sing “Far as the Sky," which would also be included in “Infinity,” as reported by entertainment website zeibiz.com.
In 2009, Charice took part in the official movie soundtrack for the animated film “Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” with her rendition of the Alicia Keys’ original “No One” accompanied by The Chipettes.
